Steve has been the CEO of Enable since its inception in 2007. He has 40 years’ experience in the electrical and telecommunications industries and specialises in business leadership and performance, business growth, strategic planning, operational management and change management.
Steve has held leadership roles for over 20 years in business management and performance, wide-scale deployments and operations of both fixed and wireless telecommunication networks.
As a lifelong Cantabrian, Steve is passionate about and driven by the potential of Enable and its fibre network to positively impact the greater Christchurch community.
Malcolm has been part of the Enable story from the beginning and is now responsible for leading sales, marketing, product development and industry representation.
With over 40 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry in engineering, sales, marketing and leadership roles, Malcolm is proud to be contributing to such a transformational project bringing fibre broadband into the homes and businesses of our community.
Amanda has been General Counsel at Enable since 2011. She is responsible for managing all legal and compliance requirements, corporate governance, commercial contract negotiation and management, and regulatory affairs.
Amanda has extensive experience in leadership and corporate governance, and as legal counsel. Prior to joining Enable, Amanda was Legal Counsel at the Canterbury District Health Board and was a solicitor at Chapman Trip.
Amanda is passionate about what Enable brings to the wider Christchurch area and the opportunities this will facilitate for the community.
Les is a qualified Chartered Accountant with 15 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry and specialises in stakeholder engagement, business performance management and strategic insight.
Prior to joining Enable, Les held a range of senior finance and operational roles with Spark – predominately in their wholesale business. Les has also worked for ENZA and KPMG, both in New Zealand and offshore.
With over 20 years’ experience in human resources and operations management roles, Natasha brings a wealth of knowledge ranging from people and performance management, to health and safety to Enable. She is particularly passionate about creating a high performance culture within the organisation that has a direct positive impact on the quality of service and experience Enable provides customers.
Natasha is passionate about women’s rugby and has played an active role as participant and development coach since the early 1990’s. She is currently the Manager of the Canterbury Women’s Rugby Team.
Paul leads the operational rollout of Enable’s fibre infrastructure across our coverage area along with managing Enable’s corporate risk. Paul additionally holds a pivotal leadership role in Enable’s Network Delivery Alliance.
Paul is an experienced delivery and commercial director of large scale programmes and a chartered engineer (EU). Prior to his role at Enable, Paul has directed large scale governmental transition programmes across Australia and engineering and product development programmes in the telecommunications/ICT sector.
Paul is driven by both the transformational potential of fibre broadband and the challenge of deploying large-scale infrastructure in the unique Christchurch recovery environment.
Brett has been GM Network Operations since 2011. With 30 years telco experience, Brett came to Enable from Alcatel-Lucent where he was the NZ Technical Services Lead managing a technical support team that supported both fixed and mobile customers across the South Pacific region.
Originally from the Waikato, Brett is a die-hard Chiefs fan who now calls Christchurch home. He is passionate about the greater Christchurch region, loves the part that Enable plays in the rebuild of Christchurch and making it the place that he and his family can continue to be happy and live.
Melissa is GM Customer Services and is responsible for managing Enable’s customer services team. This is the largest team in the business and manages the experience customers (members of our community) have with Enable as they make the move to fibre broadband.
She has 30 years’ experience in proposition, product and customer service management in the telecommunications sector. Melissa originally joined Enable in late 2015 as a Project Manager, after 10 years at Spark.
David started with Enable in late 2011. He began working for the company as a designer, before being promoted to Network Design Team Leader and Network Engineering Manager with the Network Delivery Alliance in 2014. He manages a team of approximately 20 designers responsible for the overall design and recording of the network.
Throughout his career he has worked around the world in senior telecommunications network design positions. He was the 25th person in the UK to become a fully qualified fibre engineer over 30 years ago. David’s vision is for Enable’s network to be a model network and a reference for best practice network design and implementation.
Neil joined Enable in October 2015 and brings with him extensive experience in dealing with large and complex projects both within New Zealand and overseas. He has experience in the Design, Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Completion processes and extensive knowledge of what is required to ensure all parts of large infrastructure project work together to realise operational excellence.
Neil is committed to the delivery of an exceptional fibre network that delivers broadband connectivity to the people of Christchurch now and into the future.
Daniel has run Enable’s communications programme since the network deployment began in 2011. He is a senior communications practitioner with a passion for making a positive contribution to his community.
He has spent 15 years working in or for large telecommunications/ICT enterprises and public sector organisations where he has helped them protect and grow their reputation through effective and meaningful communication with their people, customers, stakeholders and community.
Returning to Christchurch to raise his family in late 2010, Daniel is passionate about the city’s transformational opportunity and wants to do what he can to ensure the opportunity is realised.
Kelly has been with Enable since 2011. She is responsible for liaising with the office of the Enable Board of Directors, managing the chief executive’s office, overseeing all administration functions and the day to day operations of Enable’s offices.
Born and bred in Canterbury, Kelly has previously worked in event management and executive assistant roles within the corporate teams of the International Rugby Board, PGG Wrightson and the New Zealand Rugby Union.
