Support for rural and remote areas with no or poor internet connectivity

If you have no or poor internet connection at your home you can apply for support.

Most of greater Christchurch has access to Enable’s fibre network, but we appreciate there are still those that aren’t connected to broadband.  Crown Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has launched a new initiative focused on increasing the availability of broadband connectively in rural and remote areas.

The Remote Users Scheme (RUS) allows eligible households and communities in the most remote areas – where broadband is not currently available and there is only access to voice calling and text services  - to apply for support.

You can find more about the Remote Users Scheme here or follow the links below to FAQ’s and registration.
