Kiwi's are using the internet now more than ever. The Big Fibre Boost is an initiative that gives more than 100,000 homes in Greater Christchurch a permanent increase in fibre broadband speed. The boost supports growing internet usage and helps ensure that even if you're juggling multiple screens or devices, your connection will remain fibre-fast.

Do I need to do anything?

No! The Big Fibre Boost happened automatically during June and July for those on eligible residential fibre plans.

Customers on a 50/10 megabits per second (Mbps) fibre service have been boosted to 100/20 Mbps.
Customers on a 50/20 Mbps fibre service have been boosted to 100/20 Mbps.
Customers on a 300/100 Mbps fibre service have been boosted to 500/100 Mbps.

So however you use the internet - whether you’re gaming, streaming, working, learning or socialising – sit back, relax and enjoy the connectivity and performance of fibre fast broadband internet.
