What is the process for installing fibre at your business?

While each business installation is different we try to make this process as easy as possible for you.

 

The first step in the process, regardless of what type of installation is required is placing an order through an internet service provider, or your IT provider.  They will ask a few questions about the property, and this will help to establish what type of install will be required.

 

Your provider can tell you if you already have a fibre connection to your business premises. If so, you may just require a simple activation. Click below for more information. 

Plan

We'll meet you at your property to discuss the path our fibre will take from the property boundary to your network equipment.

Build

We'll complete any outside works required to get fibre from the boundary to your building.

Connect

We'll complete all remaining work to run the fibre from the outside of the building to the network equipment.

Plan

Our technicians will meet you at your property to discuss the path the fibre will take from the property boundary to where Enable’s network equipment and your service providers router will be installed. Any plans discussed and agreed upon will require sign off.

 

If a building owner or owner’s agent is required to sign off on the plan, we recommend they attend this meeting.

 

This meeting will take no more than an hour of your time

2.

Build

Our technicians will complete any outside works required to get the fibre from the boundary to the outside wall of your building as per the agreed plan.  

 

You do not need to be present for this visit unless we require access to a secure area.

3.

Connect

Our technicians will complete all remaining work to run the fibre from the outside of the building to the agreed location for the network equipment.

 

This can take several hours and we require access inside your building, so we ask that you allow time to ensure you are present for the whole process.

Already have a connection to your business?

 

You already have fibre connected to the outside wall of your property, this means your connection may be as simple as an activation from our team. Your property was connected previously and now you can enjoy the benefits of fast, reliable internet.

 

Simply contact your selected internet service provider or IT provider to request the activation of your fibre broadband. They will then place an order with us (Enable) to make this happen.

 

You do not need to be at your property during this process. But check out the tips below to make the process go as smooth as possible.

 

Tips for activation success:

  • The activation process can take a few days, so make sure you contact your internet service provider ahead of your preferred connection date
  • Make sure there is power to your property, as the activation cannot occur without power
  • Check you have all the necessary equipment to complete the activation – find out more here (link through to a page that shows what required equipment looks like)
  • Make sure you work through your needs with your internet service provider to ensure you get the correct plan for your business needs.
